Babes in the Woods – Dressing your children for the outdoors

Kids camping I love being outdoors, and have ever since I was little. When I was a kid, my parents would pack us up in the truck, along with everything including the kitchen sink, and head out into the mountains for some camping. Playing in the river, roasting hot dogs over a campfire, eating wild strawberries, and not having to take a bath all weekend were highlights of these adventures. Jennifer Aist thinks that every child should have these types of opportunities to play in and appreciate the great outdoors. Sometimes, though, that's easier said than done; taking kids camping requires a different kind of preparation than just heading out into the wilderness with a pack and some water.
